1. Why do you think the reproduction of image is so prevalent in the world today?
I think that it is because of the technological development such as photoshop and illustrator.
Because those new tools bring new style of art style, which makes more people possible to create an own design without particular skills to express such as drawing or painting.
2. What do you think this prevalence bodes for the future of graphic design and your place in it?
Because of photoshop and illustrator, many people can create own graphic design by themselves so easily, so new style of arts will be kept producing. My art that I made in this class would assist the process of creating new styles for sure.
I saw the movie made by Banksy, “Exit through the gift shop,” and one character called Mr. Brainwash was the guy who noticed one of the new style of photoshop. The movie was very exciting and fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwLhI2qppLg
3. Why do you think the John McCain drive for the presidency failed to use the Internet (or failed to use it effectively) as a means of communicationing with voters?
Image is one of the most important factor to win an election, and Obama was succeeded or at least better for using visual images to spread his political core than John McCain. Spreading particular images all over the places was what Shepard fairly did for spreading his art style because he randomly put his “OBEY” stickers on all the street.
Visual attractiveness is one of the most influential factor to inform something, and once they recognize it, it would be very easy to share with everyone, which spread further and faster.
